Welcome to the Marketing Communications Blog. This blog specifically focuses on marketing communication and the various methods of creating, implementing, and measuirng success in regards to marketing communications. The target for this blog includes small to mid-sized business where they may not have a full time marketing communications director or have a marketing director at all. However, everyone is welcome to read, use and comment on the articles posted in this blog. I certainly hope that the readers will gain some insight into marketing communications and the approaches I will teach.
The first several articles posted over the next several weeks will focus on what is marketing communications. This will be a four part series outlining what the concept is as well as a brief discussion on IMC (Integrated Marketing Communication), a concept that is fairly new, but widely spread amongst the marketing world. In fact, there are several universities that now offer Master degrees in IMC – a combination of marketing and communication disciplines.
I will make a sincere attempt to post on a regular basis, however, I am starting out with a once a week post and I will see if I can increase this as I am extremely busy, but do enjoy the topic.
