Eliminate “Us” from your Ad Copy and Increase your Recognition

One of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to marketing communications is when businesses fail to mention who they are in their advertisement and direct mail copy. It’s far too often that I see business use the pronoun, “Us”. For example, visit “us” on the web. Or to order, call “Us” at 555-1212. Who exactly is “us”?

If you want to drive your product or service, then you need to increase the odds of being recognized. One sure fire method is to eliminate the vagueness of who you are and say your name in the copy: “Visit ABC Sellers on line”, or “Call ABC sellers at 555-1212″.

B y using your business name, you increase the odds of potential customers recognizing who you are in the future, thereby increasing your potential sales.
